6. FAQs and Support

Corporate and Commercial VPNs:
GL.iNet routers support both corporate and commercial VPNs via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, routing data through your home router before the VPN connection is established.

Travel Router Connectivity:
Settings are saved, so travel routers reconnect automatically after power cycles.

Multiple Devices:
Certain models, like the Beryl AX and Slate AX, support multiple Ethernet connections.

Universal Use:
Travel routers work anywhere with internet access (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).

Tailscale Accounts:
Free Tailscale plans are sufficient for most users. Paid plans are optional.

Connection Security:
Modern encryption protocols used for high-grade security will be used. A kill switch ensures no traffic leaks if the VPN connection drops.

Fallback Options:
The setup prioritises Ethernet and seamlessly falls back to Wi-Fi if needed.

Optimising Speeds:
To achieve faster connections, use higher-speed sources, minimise connected devices, and connect via 5 GHz Wi-Fi (if using Wifi).

7. Liability

I am not liable for:

  • Internet disruptions due to ISP or router malfunctions.
  • VPN detection or blocking by external services.
  • User error in implementing the provided setup.
  • For any issues you may cause for yourself or your company/business/trade/employment, including but not limited to violations of company policies leading to termination or similarities, non-compliance with tax or visa laws in or outside your home country, failure to safeguard customer data, or breaches of data regulations in or out of your country.
